This past weekend, my mother and I deep-cleaned the house as we usually do. However, we never think to clean things like the microwave.

A friend suggested we use a little cleaning recipe that basically steam-cleans your microwave for you. All you need is:

1 cup of vinegar
1 cup of hot water
1 glass measuring cup

*As always, whenever in the kitchen, get a parent/guardian's permission.

Place the glass measuring cup inside the microwave with the contents inside it and put the microwave on for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes is up, wipe down the inside of the microwave - the junk inside just comes right off.

Below is a before-and-after of my mother's microwave. Look at the difference! This only takes about 2 minutes of YOUR time and 10 minutes of your microwave's time. Simple clean-up.
