Aishwarya Rai, one of the most successful bollywood actors, has wowed us on the red carpet at Cannes Film Festival for a solid 10 years. To commemorate her success, here are some of her best Cannes Film Festical red carpet looks. 

It all began in 2002, for the promotion of "Devdas." Aishwarya appeared on the red carpet in an embellished yellow sari, teamed with a tradtional makeup look. 
The following year proved to be pivotal for Ash as not only did she become a L'oreal brand ambassador, she also became the first indian actor to join the jury at the Cannes Film Festival.

Moving on to 2005, Aishwarya's look consists of a black embroidered gown with a powerful makeup look - strong brow, smokey eye, and full coloured lips.

Ash's 2006 Cannes look, is one of my favourite. It inspires elegance, grace and confidence. This time she chooses a midnight blue strapless gown with a slit and ruffles for added texture. The makeup is minimal, the hair sleek and straight.

2007 was the year Ash first appeared with her husband, Abhishek Bachchan. Here she chooses a glamourous fishtail white embrodered dress. This look almost has undertones of a western wedding!

Next is 2011 - my all time favourite - a sabyasachi sari, with earthy tones paired with an emerald green blouse. Aishwarya returns to the indian Sari. The dark eye makeup and hair compliments the traditional yet stylish look

Finally, this year Cannes saw Aishwarya in a muted, embroidered Elie Saab dress. The fishtail style dress, natural looking makeup and bun create a softer look.
