How to Survive a Pandemic?

há 57 meses

Hey there again everyone, I hope you all have been following the health precautions currently in place to avoid getting a particular infamous virus responsible for shutting down entire countries!!! In case these rules haven't been shoved in your face, here's a fun little remembrance about how you can help to prevent the spread of the coronavirus!!!

1) Wash your hands! Its approximated that 69% of men DO NOT wash their hands after using the restroom, and women aren't too much better. If you aren't aware of what happens in bathrooms, I can tell you as a nursing student who had to grow bacteria from a bathroom door handle, nothing pretty happens in there.

2) If you're antisocial like me, this is your time to shine. Avoid big crowds and standing closer than 6 feet (2 meters) from people, maybe make it more like 39.5 feet if they're sick. Feel free to step away from people while saying "I'm socially distancing myself" with a straight face and monotone.

3) Cover your mouth/nose when you sneeze!!! When you sneeze, snot goes EVERYWHERE in tiny little droplets. In some cases, sharing isn't caring.

4) Go to the store and stock up right now. Get up. Drop your laptop. Go. Buy. Literally. Any. Cleaning. Product. Anything they have left, at least. For all you know you might have to be quarantined, and you might need some basics...

5) Clean EVERYTHING. Clean the walls. Clean the floor. Clean the dog. Clean the cleaning products. Just clean everything, with some disinfectant, bleach, or honestly whatever cleaning product you were able to get from that store run.

6) Facemasks don't help people who aren't sick. If you buy facemasks and you aren't sick, that means someone that IS sick can't buy that facemask, and they're going to be exposing more people to the illness they have just by breathing freely.

7) Please stay at home as much as possible. I know you think this is one big joke, but quarantines are serious. Staying at home with people are are definitely not infected decreases your chances of getting the illness.

8) Coronavirus ≠ Corona (The adult beverage?!?!)

9) Vodka is good for a large variety of things, but making hand sanitizer with Tito's because your local Stop & Shop is sold out is NOT going to work. There isn't really enough alcohol content there.

10) Be ever diligent during these situations! Amazon is selling some facemasks from Wuhan, China. I've seen a few designers here on Stardoll trying to sell those masks. In case you didn't know, Wuhan, China is where the coronavirus began. Don't buy from designers trying to sell you a possibly-infected facemask, that's just bad business.
