Stardoll is about dressing up, creating things, and expressing yourself. One thing that makes Stardoll complete is friendship. With the ability to add and chat with people, it's really easy to develop friendships. The more we talk to them, the stronger the bond gets. 

    It's easy to make friends online because we can find people that share our interests. Because the person doesn't know who we are "in real life," we can use that to our advantage by only letting our flawless side out. By being anonymous, it gives us the confidence to be more social than in real life. 

      There is discourse on whether or not online friends can be considered "real friends." That is a personal decision, however. Some people view them as good friends, others view them as entertainment. 

     Since I mentioned being anonymous gives us an advantage, it is really easy to lie on the internet and create a fake persona. It is extremely important to be safe and smart on the internet. It's good to practice skepticsm when meeting people online.
