Cats, you may love 'em, you may hate 'em. Cats, believe it or not, have subtle ways to show how they feel about you too. Stated below is some common cat behavior that can be puzzling to humans.

1. Is that my cat's tail or an upright sword? 
Don't be on guard - this means your cat is either greeting you or seeking your attention. Stroking their head is the best reply.

2. My cat is rubbing on everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. 
 This may be adorable but your cats just trying to make everything smell familiar (insert sigh here).

3. Flat cat? 
Flattened ears and protruding ears are signs of stress and fear. Stressed cats are cat-astrophes, so give them somewhere to retreat and hide.

4. Beware of the belly!
This is a sign that the cat is relaxed and trusts you, just don't betray their trust by rubbing their belly or they might retaliate.

5. Purring.
Purring is usually paw-sitive! Just be aware that sometimes cats purr when they are sick, in pain or scared.
