Is it just me, or does the word Halloween conjure up images of creepy and dusty attics fit for ghosts? Maybe it's because it is a cheap way to embrace the holiday spirit without spending too much money! In fact, the look above was achieved with only Starcoin items.

How do I achieve this musty, old and eclectic vibe?

Well to get things musty looking you have to be weary of colour. The duller and dimmer the shade of colour, the more realistic it will look. This is simply because when dust piles up on things it makes the colour dimmer and more brown toned. My books and skull were a good example of this.

These bring me to the second point, oldness. Making your suite look older can be achieved by picking items that are old (books, although common can be considered as old - especially if they are leather bound). You can also play on the run-down effect by making your objects look broken, for example, one of my paintings is on an angle to make it appear as it was hung a long time ago.

Eclectic looks are simple. Increase your objects per Stardoll meter taking into consideration that the creepier they are, the better!
