Once upon a time, in the earlier Stardoll days, a Hermes Birkin inspired bag was released. Released it was, but not to the public. See, it was given as a Stardoll contest prize. This beautifully recreated bag went on to become one of the most coveted pieces in all of Stardoll, becoming rarer with each passing year.
That is until it was released in Callie's Picks for 25 SD this week. This for me, was great news. A long time Hermès lover, I've always wanted to own this minimalistic staple. Sadly, not everyone is going to be thrilled to hear of this re-release.
The question remains - is it about fashion, or exclusivity? Is something that is easily accessible as desirable as something unattainable? Sure, it's cool to know you're one of 100 members owning a certain piece, but in the end does it really matter?
