General Health Tips
The one thing I value more than anything is my health and the health of my family. No one could put a figure to their health- it is so valuable, and therefore everyone should do all they can to protect it.
Everyone has different things that they should do to keep themselves healthy because we are all genetically different, therefore you should always keep having checkups with a doctor and follow their instructions above all. Despite this, there are some tips that could be generalisable to most people!1. Eat a healthy diet- this means not too much and not too little of anything. This varies by age, gender and other factors. Some foods, like some carbohydrates and fibrous foods, need to be consumed in a higher quantity than others.
2. Go outside- Vitamin D from the sun is great for the skin and general wellbeing, just don't forget sunblock!
3. Get sleep- most adults need about 8 hours of sleep each night, but often younger people need more. Sleep stimulates protein synthesis in the brain, which repairs body systems that have deteriorated throughout the day!
4. Drink water- there are hundreds of reasons why drinking enough water is important, especially in the summer!
5. Exercise- Most of us dread it, that's understandable but exercise can strengthen muscles, help with depression and might even prevent heart disease and tons of other nasty illnesses!
6. See your doctor regularly- checking for common health problems regularly is the easiest way to stop them if worst case scenario happens!
