Hi dollies!

As many of you know, I am a Hindu. This time of the year is very important as it is coming up to Diwali (19th October) and Navratri (20th October)

Diwali is commonly known as the festival of lights, this being because of the god Ram and his wife, Sita were led back to their village with candles.

The story of Diwali comes from a book called the 'Ramayana'. In a nutshell, Ram and Sita are sent to exile because they were tricked, Sita was kidnapped by an evil god and Ram saved her. They came back home after they served their time in exile.

Navratri is the Hindu new year as Diwali marks the end of Ram and Sita's exile. 

It's basically like Christmas, without the tree and mince pies!
