Gratefulness

"Be thankful for what you have: you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough." -Bethany Mota

I think everyone can admit to not realizing our blessings. Instead we focus on what we don't have. Think about it, when was the last time you began a sentence or thought with, "If I only I had..." Trust me, I have learned that the more you don't expect things, the more glad you feel when you receive them! Of course, we can't just turn on a switch and be instantly grateful. Here are some activities to make it fun!

Gratitude journal: Every day, write down at the very least three things you are grateful for. Don't dismiss anything as "dumb," because if you find joy in it, it's not!

Grateful jar: My family did this at the beginning of last year! Whenever you feel like it, simply write something you are grateful for on a piece of paper. At the end of the year, see how much you have to be thankful for!

Grateful day: If you're someone who likes a challenge, this one is for you. Spend the next 24 hours without complaint, critisism, or speaking of the past (unless it's about something good that happened!).

I hope these helped, I'm definitely going to try them! Feel free to let me know how it's going!
