- We heard rumors that Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama have split, and Demi took twitter to pretty much confirm the rumor. She wrote “The smartest thing a woman can ever learn, is to never need a man.” and then a quote by Marilyn Monroe: “A wise girl kisses but doesn’t love, listens but doesn’t believe, and leaves before she is left.” After tweeting all of this, Demi realized it might not be the smartest idea since the whole world can read it. This weekend she wrote “Twitter break. It’s for the best actually. Who allows me to have this thing anyways?!!! I just get myself in trouble! Haha. Anyway… BYE!” Aw, we loved reading your tweets Demi! We hope you’ll be back ASAP! (celebuzz)

- We spotted our favorite Hollywood couple, Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth out in Hollywood together. We think they're the best couple ever, they seem so genuine and down to earth! We never see them out partying or on the covers of tabloids! Even though they are still pretty much newlyweds, we think they're like an old married couple. Love!
ElleGirl- If there’s one thing we took away from Pitti Uomo, the annual mega menswear trade show in Florence, it’s that Italian boys know how to dress. Usually it’s the girls who are the more fashion-forward ones in relationships, but these guys put the ladies’ outfits to shame, hitting the streets in bold colors, rolled up cuffs, daring prints (camouflage!), and tailored blazers. Most of the designer duds from the show itself won’t hit the shelves for months, but in the meantime, you can learn a thing or two from all of the fashionable male attendees. To help your beau get an equally stylish look, here are some takeaway fashion tips straight from Italy (just in time for Men’s Fashion Week!)
1. Tailored blazers

A tight-fitted blazer can either be worn as a separate or with matching pants (as this sickeningly handsome Italian man did). This double-breasted jacket is a classic piece that will be “in stile” for years. Feel free to coordinate with a colorful scarf.

his guy’s not blending in anywhere with this flashy camo print. Skilled in the art of layering, he chose to wear the print over a tweed blazer and underneath a chunky sweater. He tied the look together with a pale blue oxford shirt—an ensemble fit for any adventure.
3. Plaid

Plaid was a hot pattern at Pitti: coats, shirts, ties—you name it. This gentleman wore a crisp green coat with a simple plaid pattern and a contrasting collar. This handsome plaid piece will look great over dress shirts and suits.

Look, it’s the Italian Chuck Bass! One great part about Pitti is that the guys weren’t afraid to show some color. A bold-colored pant, blazer, or tie will add some Italian flair to your boyfriend’s look.

When it doubt, layer it up! Layers are great for the cold-weather months—when you get indoors, you can simply shed a piece. This guy shows off his layering skills with a double set of collared shirts worn under a double-breasted cable-knit sweater—a wardrobe staple that will instantly update your look.
6. Pops of color

You have to applaud this dude’s subtle use of color in his outfit: the tie, the hanging scarf, the socks, and the shoes. Deep, rich colors like orange, yellow, and blue will make your man a classy standout on the street.
7. Casual cool

Even though in our dream world all boys would dress in jackets and ties, that’s just not reality. But worry not—your boyfriend can still look trendy in a lightweight T-shirt, slim-fit pants, brogues, and a navy coat.

Rolled-up cuffs were seen on countless ankles at Pitti, and we’re totally on board with the look. Just make sure your boyfriend cuffs his pants over the ankle, leaving room to show off some skin (or some colorful socks!)

The 2012 Academy Awards take place on February 26. The Oscar nominations are here! Martin Scorcese’s three hour long Hugo leads the pack with 11 nominations and The Artist, with 10, is a close second. Brad Pitt won his first producer nomination, for Moneyball (as well as an acting nod) and George Clooney scored his first writing nod, for Ides of March (his acting nomination is for The Descendants). Meryl Streep is nominated for the 17th time; she’ll compete against Michelle Williams, Viola Davis, Rooney Mara and Glenn Close for Best Actress. Bridesmaids scored two Oscar nominations: a Best Supporting Actress nod for Melissa McCarthy and Best Original Screenplay for Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo. As for the men, Demián Bichir (A Better Life), The Artist‘s Jean Dujardin and Gary Oldman, for Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (the first nomination for each of them), join Clooney and Pitt in the Best Actor category. And lastly, nine films have been nominated for Best Picture: The Artist, The Descendants, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, The Help, Hugo, Midnight in Paris, Moneyball, The Tree of Life, and War Horse. The film most obviously missing from any category is We Need to Talk About Kevin; Tilda Swinton scored a Golden Globe nod and was considered a serious contender for the Oscar, too. The red carpet’s already looking a bit more dull in her absence.

Only Céline, the brand that has, in just two years, had a ripple effect on style across the globe, could get away with canceling its Paris runway show at such a young age and still be the most exciting collection in Europe. LVMH announced today that staging a show next month is out of the question; designer Phoebe Philo is pregnant with her third child. The compnay’s CEO told WWD, “A runway show is a very demanding and personal engagement for a creative director. The objective is to simplify.” Instead, they’ll stage a presentation somewhere in Paris during their time slot (March 4, 1PM). We’re guessing this means a bash in honor of Céline’s new Madison Avenue store, opening within a month, is absolutely out of the question.
