The Jersey Shore cast are going back to their (well, most of their) roots in the next season of the outrageous reality show: yes, Italy. What can the crew possibly do in Italy? Throw around some meat balls? Fist pump in the Vatican? The only roommate with actual knowledge about his Italian heritage is Vinny.

On an unsurprising note, the UNICO National (an Italian American interest group) is furious and completely embarrassed that MTV is going through this. A rep for UNICO stated, “It will not only hurt Italians but all Americans … their outrageous, reprehensible behavior will make us look like buffoons and bimbos.”

Wait! That’s not all the mortified reactions…. Many are worried that the move will result in an embarrassing image of America as a whole. “We are disappointed that this irresponsible programming will be brought to Italy because it affects the image of all Americans, not only Italian Americans,” Joseph V. Del Raso, President of The National Italian American Foundation told FOX411’s Pop Tarts. “There is a perverse curiosity in wanting to watch the show and the Italian audience, like the American audience, may be attracted to the show out of curiosity. But we know that the Italians’ good taste will immediately recognize this genre of programming for what it’s worth.”

On a brighter note, some of the roommates are not even fully Italian: Nicole Snookie Polizzi being one, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro being half Puertorican, along with other roommate Jenni JWOW Farley, who is Spanish and Irish…should we go on? Whether the shows receiving negative comments or not, Jersey Shore is still noticed and watched by millions of viewers across the world. After all, the cast will be living in an upscale atmosphere as opposed to a small house in Seaside Heights, NJ. What are your predictions for Jersey Shore Season 4 in Italy? Do you think this is a good move? Would you watch it? Sound off in the comments!
