The second tribute this season was Blumarine, which I was so excited to see! Their creative director Nicola Brognano and stylist Lotta Volkova have revived the brand into a total 2000s fantasy, taking inspiration from the brands’ archive, and ‘00s pop culture icons such as Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.

For my first outfit, I chose this satin pink handbag with crystal branding. I styled it with this pink embroidered jacket with feather trim, a baby tee, and denim miniskirt. To accessorize, I went for some strappy heels with star charms and a rhinestone choker. You could also add a satin beret, Paris Hilton style. Next, I took inspiration from Mariah Carey’s outfit at the VH1 Divas 2000, where she wore an Emanuel Ungaro SS2000 Couture butterfly top paired with some low-rise jeans and strappy heels. I built on that outfit, adding some silver hoops, a Tiffany’s heart necklace, a silver chain belt, shoulder bag, and a pair of sunglasses. 

Next, I chose this brown asymmetrical top with fur trim, which I styled with a denim skirt with orange stitching and a gold chain belt. I then added the Spring 2003 Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami bag, and a pair of heeled Timberland boots that match the bag straps. During the '00s, Heeled Timberlands were seen on Beyonce in the 03 Bonnie & Clyde music video, as well as JLo in Jenny from the Block. To complete the outfit, I added some gold name hoops and a pair of brown sunglasses. I then chose the brown animal print jeans, which I styled with a white crossover top, reminiscent of the top Xtina wore to the 2002 VMAs. I added a layered gold chain that sits on the skin as well as the jeans, a LV bag with gold hardware, some round sunglasses, a newsboy cap, and some chunky brown boots. 

My last two outfits have 2000s chick-flick vibes: I could definitely see the first look in 13 Going on 30, the pink cardigan with floral embellishments and fur trim paired with a knee-length denim skirt. To channel Mean Girls instead, swap the skirt for a miniskirt in a floral or plaid print. To complete the outfit, I added some strappy sandals, a heart pendant necklace and matching gold hoops, some oversized sunnies, and a cute yellow handbag. Finally, this yellow ruffle dress would not be out of place in a prom scene from a 00s movie, or even seen on Paris Hilton in the club. I decided to style the dress with purple accessories, such as the mini bag, pendant necklace, and mules, but the gold accents on the items tie in with the yellow dress. For the final touch, I added some gold butterfly hair clips (originally earrings).
