The Perks of Being an Introvert

il y a 79 mois

Hi Dollies!

You may remember from a previous post, I am an INFP and an incredibly shy introvert. Recently I've been using this information to read around and unlock secrets to understanding myself. Following that post, I received a number of dollies sharing their personalities, and most of you who responded are introverts too!

From the outside, it may seem like extroverts run the world, but that's not the case; introverts possess plenty of positive assets too. I thought I'd share some 3 lovely perks of being an introvert, and hopefully you will be as encouraged as I was when discovering this.

1. We are great counsellors: As introverts, we're naturally observant. We have the ability to listen well, and thoroughly analize a speaker's actions, thoughts and the situation. Our empathetic ability allows us to draw on that information and be helpful and understanding, a great asset for friendships.

2. We think deeply: I know firsthand that introverts channel most of our energy inwards. We ponder profound ideas, and quietly evaluate the world and our choices, which enables us to have a strong sense of self. In such a loud world, it may be tiring at times, but it all pays off as we are confident in our values and identity.

3. We make great leaders: This one's a funny one, I barely believed it when I first read it. As introverts, although we may feel drained after time with people, people skills like charisma can still be learned over time. However, our humble, understanding, and attentive traits stem from within, and these help us manage a team just as effectively as a loud voice.

There are many more perks that I wish I could include, but if you're fascinated, there are also similar articles on the internet. Are you an introvert? What do you think about these perks?

Take care,

♡ Joanne
