Almost Famous

il y a 97 mois

Since becoming a Starblogger and taking on style requests, I have grown to love 70's fashion! I particularly love the Studio 54, disco vibe, however, for this blog post I have pulled inspiration from the much more casual 70s style, and the film Almost Famous.

With my first two outfits, I started with two classics - the big winter coats and flared jeans. Both of these coats fit this trend perfectly, with the Sherpa detailing and autumnal colours. The first look is a little more girly, with a turtleneck and flower necklace, whereas the second look is much more casual with the ringer t-shirt and jeans. The mid-70s (also when Almost Famous was set) took a minimal approach to fashion and accessories, so I chose a simple necklace and bag. For shoes, I went for wedges, but suede boots would work too.

My last two looks are definitely more suited to anyone lucky enough to live in a warmer country. They both focus on the shorts, whether suede, leather or denim. This time, my first outfit takes the relaxed, casual look with a slouchy band-style t-shirt and fringed vest, although I think a shaggy fur coat would also work. The second look is a lot more feminine, with the flowy blouse, and floral embroidery. I added a fringed suede jacket for a little contrast, and added matching ankle boots. For footwear, you could also try knee-high boots or Mary-janes, and instead of shorts, a knife-pleat midi-skirt would work well too.

Thanks for reading! Which look was your favourite?
