Easy Veggie Meals!

If you usually eat meat, you might like to try going without it for a few days a week. Sir Paul Mccartney, previous member of The Beatles, supports a campaign called Meat Free Monday in which you eat all vegetarian meals on Mondays in order to raise awareness about the environmental effects of eating meat and to help you reduce your carbon footprint. Many meat-free meals can be super tasty, so I suggest you try them out!



Falafels
Falafels are fried balls of ground chickpeas, and they are one of my favorite things to eat for dinner! Get an adult to help you make some, and eat them in a pita or burger instead of a meat patty. Add your favourite veggies and sauces - I like mine with some plain yogurt, while my boyfriend likes his with sweet chilli sauce!


Mac n' Cheese
I'm not a huge pasta fan, but I know a lot of people who are! Plain macaroni and cheese is vegetarian as long as you ensure the cheese is not made with rennet, and you can even make it vegan by using vegan cheese replacements. This could be a good idea for a big snack if you're super hungry!


Tofu Donburi
If you've never had donburi before, you should definitely try making some. It's basically a bowl of white rice with toppings - they usually have some meat on top, but you can easily replace this with marinated tofu! I often make tofu donburi with my boyfriend, with teriyaki tofu and a whole lot of tasty vegetables. Yum!


Remember, always make sure to have an adult help out if you are young or aren't used to cooking!
